More escapades of Myrtle in NY

Here are some shots of Myrtle with her adopted family. She clearly loves her new brother, sister, and mom!

Look closely, Myrtle is riding the horse with Gwen!
Here is a page from her WONDERFUL "where's myrtle" adventure box created by CathCainGwen. It was too much fun finding her. These two pictures are easy compared to some like the horse below! Thanks again guys!

Myrtle makes it home

Myrtle had a wonderful tour of New York with CathCainGwen. If you look carefully you will see little Myrtle with Gwen (on the horse's flower) and Cain (on the Buffalo's horn). Look above the P on the Kenside Park garden sign.
She had a wonderful time and I'm loving her "Where on the Trail is Myrtle?" album that CathCainGwen made for me. It's amazing! So much work and fun went into this creation. Each picture has Myrtle and in the back their is a legend to help you locate her if you're unsuccessful! How clever and fun are they!!!!

I don't know how to rest!

Day 6: 7/10/07 The National Museum of Dance: We headed out to Saratoga Springs to visit the National Museum of Dance. Gweny said the passes were a first finder's prize from the winter when they went boxing with Party Pig and Wes8958. The museum was great fun! Gweny and I tried on costumes and danced on stage. There was even a little bitty stage just big enough for me!

As we drove around we kept seeing statues of horses all over the place, Catherine drove by the race track to show us why. What a big track! We couldn't leave without finding a box, and because it was so hot and humid we decided an inside box would be best. We spent a lot of time at the Saratoga Springs Public Library and found "Card Catalog" by Mookie AND the Book Bag - which is an used book store. WOW there were so many books! Catherine and Gweny bought lots for themselves and some for Cain too. Gweny read to me all the way home.

We found 2 more postals when we got home: Super Seuss: Circus McGurkus by Mommo and A Gefling and a Mystery by Chadams. Tomorrow we have to bring Gweny to camp for the night, Rebel Boxer is going with us YEAH!!

More from the trail!

Day 3: 7/7/07 Saturday Exchanging with churchguysNprincesses: Wow, another treat! churchguysNprincesses had a postal lettterbox for Catherine, so we met and I got to do an exchange with them AND Old Grannie & Sissy - grandma & grandpa. What cool people! churchboy & little princess were especially gentle with me when we playe din the park.On the way home we stopped to bring a box home for repair. CathCainGwen's "Fin Reaper" needed his blade fixed. When we got it home, I found my very first HitchHiker!!! Mini Bob's Wife was tucked inside the box. Gweny said we will bring it to a new spot when we ring Cain to Camp Russell tomorrow!

Day 4: 7/8/07 Sunday Camp Russell: We drove to Old Forge to drop Cain off at Boy Scout camp...it was a long and boring check in, but Gweny kept promising there were new boxes to be found! She was right!! When Cain was finally checked in and given his snack money, we headed out to the trails down the road a bit. We found all three boxes in the series "The Flying Critters of Minnihaha" by Gypsy Travelers. There was a moth, butterfly and bumblebee AND another HH! We left Mini Bob's Wife in the Moth and found SummerTime Sunset by Froggie in the Bumblebee. When we got home, we placed it in the Fin Reaper. What a nice even trade!

Day 5: 7/9/07 Monday Holy Postal! I helped Catherine put together her postal boxes and got to stamp some in to my log too. Santa Gets a Ticket, the box from Infinity, which was created as a thank you to boxers that helped make cards for her husband's break room. He is a police officer. I got to be the first with Scooby Dooby Doooooo!: Scooby, Shaggy & Scrappy Doo by CathCainGwen. AND, the Black Pearl for the Pirates ring. I even got the bonus stamp, Jack the Undead Monkey.

Myrtle writes home!

Day 1: 7/5/07 Thursday Arrival:I think I heard someone say Little Falls, NY. Woohoo? Anyone out there? Hello? I have been in this dark comfy envelope long enough....GET ME OUT!!!!
After some time, I got to meet Catherine, Cain & Gweny of CathCainGwen. To make up for the time I spent in the mailbox, Catherine and Gweny decided to take me out for a quick few boxes. We found their "Birthday Series", which she made for her best friend Rebel Boxer, who Gweny said we are going to goboxing with tomorrow! YEAH!!Oh I almost forgot, we even found a geocache! It was right across from one of the boxes, Gweny helped me pick a friend out to keep me company. She named her Ducky!

On the way home we made one more stop at a beautiful old church and guess what another stamp! This one was carved by Lock Wench, who Gweny said is the most awesome boxer around....I hope I get to meet her too!

Day 2: 7/6/07 Friday Hiking with Rebel Boxer: What a treat I got to meet Rebel Boxer. She sure is fun and wow what a sense of adventure. We hiked to another of Lock Wench's boxes: "The Great Swimming Hole Caper: Sherlock Holmes". It was near a beautiful spot, I even tried to take a dip, but decided against it. We continued down the road to another trailhead and immediately found the cutest "Snazzy Snail" by Lock Wench. We followed the trail to Clockmill Pond, but were unsuccessful with the ending box. Cain and his friend Luke, Rebel's son conquered many ogres and black bloods. We even saw a friend of mine - Lancelot, named by Cain and Luke.

Her logbook and signature stamp are completed and she is looking for adventure. Any takers?
She's small and easy to bring letterboxing. Nice waterproof shell and happy bobbley head!
